“O-Oh, no, I’ll be okay!” He smiles and sets down the items, adjusting them so that they both can reach easily. He sits down across from her, and happily notes that she seems to be enjoying herself so far. If there’s only one thing that comes out of this night, he hopes that it’s that she had a good time.
“I hope you don’t mind spaghetti! It was, um. All I could think of that...

“I-I hope you do like it! And, well, yes, of course! Go right ahead.” He dithers at the doorway of the dining room for a moment before turning slightly. “I just need to go get the rest of the food. I’ll be right back!”
He throws her a smile before hurrying into the kitchen, grabbing up a pot and a basket, and going back to the dining room in record time. He doesn’t want to keep...

He turns a bit pink himself when she smiles back at him, and nearly forgets to close the door after her. He does, though, and smiles uncertainly at the question.
“Oh, thank you. And, um, yeah! My mother taught me how to cook, and since this is kind of a special occasion…” He trails off, turning redder. He’s never going to admit that he had to call up his mother to ask for help...

Oh, gosh. She was here. Die took another moment to straighten everything out one last time before hurrying over, opening the door with as large of asmile as he can manage. He hopes that he remembered to put everything that could be creepy away, beforehand.
“H-Hi Paige! Um, I’m glad you could make it!” He steps away from the door a bit, gesturing inside nervously. “W-Would you...

Die was fretting almost as much as Paige must be. Everything had to be perfect, or at least seem perfect, since this was kind of the most important night of his life. He kept checking and re-checking the food, the clock, and his outfit as he waited for her, looking more and more unsure as the minutes ticked by. He knows he shouldn’t be as nervous as he is, but he can’t help it.

Paige fiddled with her dress and skirt and hair in front of the mirror, she had her first date with Dacian tonight and she was incredibly nervous. She kept double checking and triple checking to see if everything was in check. She had already gone through 4 different hairstyles and just settled with a simple half-pony tail.
She sighed after she got rid of the last wrinkle in her skirt and...

Oh. Well, he feels even better, now that he knows this’ll make her less anxious. He hums for a moment, considering what time he might actually be ready. He grips his doll a bit tighter, twisting it inside his pocket.
“I’m glad I can help! How about, um, three? I promise I’ll be on time, too.” At least then he’ll have enough time to get out all his nerves before having to actually...
six-sided-die:
“Wait, really?” He stares at her, before slowly smiling. Well, while he hadn’t exactly expected that answer, he can’t say he’s not delighted about it. He glances down for a moment, really unable to do anything but be overwhelmingly happy for a moment, before nodding.
“Ah, well, I’m glad! Really glad. So, should I. Come to meet you before the cookout..?”
“Yes,...
six-sided-die:
“I see…Well, I’m going.” He tucks the mail under his arm and shoves his hands into his pockets, looking a bit uncertain now. It would be pretty unlucky if she didn’t end up going, and he just ended up embarrassing himself. It’s just a good thing that he’s managed to convince himself to do this. “And I was wondering if, maybe, you’d like to go with me?”
Paige perked up at the...

“Uh, yeah…Thanks.” He smiles a bit at how happy she looks, since that makes him pretty happy, too. He takes his mail and glances over it briefly, mostly as a way to distract himself. At least there’s nothing that demands his urgent attention in it. When he looks back up at her, he looks far more determined than before.
“Hey, did you hear that the management is having a cookout...

It’s about the time that the mail comes, and that means that is the time that Die has to take a chance. He walks down the hallway, fiddling with his doll as he goes, and moving a bit faster than normal. If she’s not there, he can at least always act like he’s coming to get his mail.
But she is there, of course, and he just about turns around, but he manages to ignore his frayed...

Paige was well into her work day, finally making her way down to deliver the mail at the hotel she was currently staying at. She greeted the bellhops and the front desk with her cheerful smile and warm hello.
She absolutely loved delivering mail in these kinds of places, the staff was usually so nice to her. It’s only been once or twice that she’s ever had a bitter or rude run in with...

“I’m glad I met you too! You’re probably the best person I could possibly meet first.” He smiles happily at her and works on his drink for a moment. “Oh, I’d like that!” He gives her a small smile and then tilts his head a bit and grins widely as he comes upon a sudden idea. “You like to read? O-Oh, well I work in a bookstore! If I-I can’t make it here, you’re always welcome to...

“I haven’t been here very long either, only about a month. I’ve been pretty busy at my job, so I haven’t gotten a chance to get to know anyone either.” He smiles a bit and sips at his drink, before tilting his head and smiling wider. “Well, except for you, miss, of course.” He glances down, looking a bit embarrassed at that.
He isn’t sure why he’s telling her all of this, and so...
six-sided-die:
“Oh, thank you…” He glances around, feeling more than a bit awkward being here, since he’s not exactly used to being in anyone else’s place as of yet, especially not in a woman’s house. When she gets back and hands him the drink, he smiles gratefully and takes a sip.
“It’s actually very good, Miss.” He worries at his lip for a moment before hitting on a topic to talk about. “So,...
six-sided-die:
“I see, that makes sense. And, you can call me Dacian, if you want, miss.” He looks at his arm for a moment, and smiles up at her. She did a wonderful job, and it’s hardly the poor cat’s fault that it hurt him, it was probably spooked to hell and back. At her question, he smiles wider and nods.
“Well, if I’m not imposing, I wouldn’t mind some lemonade. Getting all scratched up...
six-sided-die:
“That’s a pretty name, Miss Middleton. And your place isn’t half as bad as mine tends to be, so I wouldn’t worry about it.” He waved his good hand and smiled brightly at her, wincing only a little at the disinfectant. The cuts must have been a little deeper than he’d thought. He would have to retract his thoughts about liking cats quite as much as he’d thought he did.
“So whose...

Die was so shocked when she dragged him into the apartment he didn’t complain at all. When she started looking over his cut, he looked over her. Just out of curiosity of course, after all he’d seen her enough around the complex to know what she looked like. But never really up close. At her last words, though, he snaps out of it and feels himself blush a bit.
“Oh..Well, it...

“Hello, miss, is this cat yours? I’m afraid I almost tripped over it and ir led me here-” Die is cut off by the cat squirming madly in his grasp and scratching him in its attempt to escape. He makes a strangled hissing noise as it shoots off into the apartment. He looks at Paige apologetically, even as he clutches his injured arm. Wow, that really, really hurts.

Die was trudging back from his job- not that he disliked his time he spent at the little bookshop, it was jut so exhausting- when he nearly trips over a tiny black blur streaking towards the stairs. It stops, and mewls pitifully up at him, before stalking off in a particularly offended fashion….
Paige was sitting at home reading a book, relaxing after a long day at work....
